I really enjoyed watching Taylor Hicks win last night on American Idol. Whatever triumph or joy he was feeling, he composed himself within a second to give Katherine McPhee a hug without gloating.

That is why even in this rude age, people still refer to Southern charm. His momma raised him right - she can be as proud of the class he displayed as she was of his accomplishments.
